Want to make a general donation?
A general donation may be used by the charity for any purpose it deems necessary. The donation may be used for salaries and general expenses, as well as its mission programs. Unless your donation is designated for a specific purpose, it will be considered a general donation.
Want to make a designated or restricted donation?
A designated or restricted donation may be used by the charity for only the purpose for which it has been designated. If you want your donation to be used only for a specific purpose, that purpose should be stated on your check or in a cover letter.

Build a Children's Home.
The Task Forces, in affiliation with the Children of Domestic Violence, Inc., and the Children's Crisis Center, Inc., has embarked on a Capital Fund Campaign to raise money for the construction of both an emergency shelter and a long-term facility for abused children. The initial goal is to raise 1.5 million dollars. Donations to this fund should be designated as "Children's Home Capital Fund Campaign".
